Release on
swearwords
and accusations against human rights activists
An article issued on February
11th 2008 by Ahmad Rami Bernawi (Egyptian) whose e-mail is :
swar.demeshk@gmail.com. The C.D.F,
regardless of the name, the fact that it really exists, the e-mail and other
e-mails whose owners are well known for us, still hope that the Syrian H.R.
activists' circles will recover from such a manner in attacking respected
figures, which reflects the moral level of the people who write it, when
they find out that time will never go back again.
We had always been practicing
self restraint during our work as Human Rights activists. we didn’t reply to
those who had fabricated and sworn us, and asked them not to hide themselves
in nicknames and false names, to prove their claims, and refer to judiciary,
instead of offering free reports for security bodies, which are often
accompanied by a detention campaign against H.R activists.
It is shame to fabricate and
accuse a national Syrian known figure like the late Ahmad Darweesh, who died
after a long struggle, detention and exile. Beside attacking some of our
women colleagues without any morality.
It is strange that this
"article" accuses local, regional and international institutions which
defend H.R issues, while they are well known for their integrity and
efficiency like :
The H.R International
Federation. (FIDH)
The EMHRN.
Cairo Institute for H.R
Studies.
Amman Center for H.R Studies.
The Syrian center for media and
freedom of expression.
The C.D.F in Syria.
The strangest part of the
article is attacking famous Arab figures, who are well known on the Arab and
international arena, using the same expressions spread by the tyrannical
regimes in the Arab world such as "treason" "Zionism" and "masonry" , to
harm these figures who are well known to all by their defending human
rights, and spreading its culture. These figures are:
Mr. Edris al Yazmi (FIDH
secretary).
Mr. Kamal Jandoobi (EMHRN
chairman).
Mr. Bahiyeddin Hasan (CIHRS
chairman).
Mr. Nizam Assaf (ACHRS
chairman).
The C.D.F condemns this kind of
accusations, swearwords and fabrications thrown upon respected Syrian and
Arab volunteer efficient activists and fighters for human rights figures. We
also consider that these swearwords addressing such figures, confirm how
credible these national, regional and international figures are.
